07/22/2013 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15288 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING A VESTING TENTATIVE <br /> PARCEL MAP AND A DOWNTOWN PLANNED COMMUNITY <br /> PERMIT FOR 950 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD <br /> WHEREAS, Applicant, Redwood City Partners, LLC has submitted an <br /> application for a Planned Community Permit for an 8-story commercial project <br /> consisting of approximately 302,000 square feet of office space and 5,075 <br /> square feet of restaurant space located at 950 Middlefield Road (the Project) <br /> which is within the Downtown Precise Plan area; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 2, 2013, the Planning Commission held a duly noticed <br /> public hearing, in accordance with all applicable requirements of the Redwood <br /> City Municipal Code, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance and the Downtown <br /> Precise Plan, on proposed amendments to the Downtown Precise Plan <br /> (Downtown Precise Plan Amendment), the proposed Vesting Tentative Parcel <br /> Map Application No. TM2013-03, the proposed Downtown Planned Community <br /> Permit Application No. DPC2012-12, and the proposed Disposition and <br /> Development Agreement befinreen the City and Redwood City Partners, LLC; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 2, 2013, the Planning Commission adopted <br /> Resolution No. 13-13 recommending that the City Council approve the proposed <br /> Vesting Tentative Parcel Map (TM2013-03) and the proposed Downtown <br /> Planned Community Permit (DPC2012-12); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the proposed Vesting <br /> Tentative Parcel Map and Planned Community Permit would further the purposes <br /> of and appropriately implement the City of Redwood City General Plan and the <br /> Downtown Precise Plan. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The City Council finds that the above recitals are accurate <br /> and constitute findings in this matter and, together with the Staff Report and the <br /> application materials, including without limitation the Initial Study, Disposition and <br /> Development Agreement, development plan, and all other documents, reports, <br /> studies, memoranda, maps, oral and written testimony, and materials in the <br /> City's file for the applications and the Project, and all adopted City planning <br /> documents relating to the Project and the property including the City's General <br /> ATTY/RES0.2884/APPROVAL OF VTM and PCP FOR 950 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD RESO.#15288 <br /> REV:07-15-13 VR MUFF N 100 <br /> Page 1 of 30 <br />
