10/21/2013 <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (Continued) <br /> Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an <br /> effective and timely manner, and set priorities to meet critical timelines; <br /> Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with <br /> employees at all levels; <br /> Demonstrate a strong internal and external customer-service orientation; <br /> and <br /> Operate modern office equipment including computers and specialized <br /> software applications. <br /> Experience and Education: <br /> Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the <br /> required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the <br /> knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> Experience: <br /> Five years of progressively responsible experience in all areas of <br /> human resources within the public sector, including, but not limited <br /> to recruitment and selection, employee relations, labor relations <br /> and negotiations, classification and compensation, worker's <br /> compensation and safety. At least three years of supervisory <br /> experience is required. <br /> Education: <br /> Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or <br /> university with major study in human resources management, <br /> business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is <br /> highly desirable. <br /> License or Certificates: <br /> Possession of a valid California Driver's License. <br /> Work Environment and Conditions: <br /> Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work <br /> environment: <br /> RESO. # 15302 <br /> MUFF # 905 <br />
