06/08/2015 <br /> iv. It is prohibited to irrigate ornamental landscapes or turf with potable water <br /> on Saturdays, Sundays or Wednesdays; and <br /> 10) For ornamental landscapes or turf that are supplied with potable water <br /> through a dedicated irrigation meter billed by Redwood City to customers <br /> through budget based water rates, the customer shall reduce irrigation usage <br /> of potable water by 27% of their allotted irrigation water budget. <br /> b) To promote water conservation, operators of hotels and motels shall provide <br /> guests with the option of choosing not to have towels and linens laundered daily. <br /> The hotel or motel shall prominently display notice of this option in each <br /> guestroom using clear and easily understood language. <br /> c) All commercial, industrial and institutional properties that use a water supply, any <br /> portion of which is from a source other than a water supplier subject to section <br /> 865, shall either: <br /> 1) Limit outdoor irrigation of ornamental landscapes or turf with potable water to <br /> no more than finro days per week; or <br /> 2) Reduce potable water usage supplied by sources other than a water supplier <br /> by 25 percent for the months of June 2015 through February 2016 as <br /> compared to the amount used from those sources for the same months in <br /> 2013. <br /> d) The taking of any action prohibited in subdivision 1(a) or the failure to take any <br /> action required in subdivisions 1(b) or 1(c), is an infraction punishable by a fine of <br /> up to five hundred dollars ($500) for each day in which the violation occurs. Prior <br /> to issuance of a fine, the City shall follow the enforcement procedures set forth <br /> below: <br /> 1) 1 St Violation: notice of violation door hanger/email/phone call to customer, <br /> resident or business; <br /> 2) 2"d Violation: certified letter from City notifying customer, resident or business <br /> of violation and potential future fines; <br /> 3) 3�d Violation: one hundred dollars ($100) for a third violation of the same <br /> provision within one (1) year; <br /> ATTY/RES0.3091/CC RESO OUTDOOR WATER USE RESTRICTIONS RESO.#15418 <br /> REV:05-26-15 MLG MUFF#802 <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br />
