07/27/2015 <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> Proposed Classification: <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING MULTIMEDIA ANALYST <br /> DEFINITION <br /> The Communications and Marketing Multimedia Analyst will lead the content <br /> development and implementation of marketing-driven websites, multimedia tools, social <br /> media, content development for print pieces, e-publications, digital tools and other <br /> marketing communication initiatives for the City of Redwood City. <br /> DISTINGUISING CHARACTERISTICS <br /> This is a professional level class responsible for providing complex and specialized <br /> management assistance by planning and developing, coordinating, and evaluating the <br /> function of internal and external communications and marketing programs, public <br /> relations, social media, web design and content management. <br /> SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br /> Receives general direction from the Public Communications Manager. <br /> EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES <br /> Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: <br /> Develop, administer and implement City programs in the area of communication, <br /> multimedia marketing, website design and content management and social media. <br /> Coordinate and manage City engagement on social media platForms, blogs, and <br /> discussion boards. <br /> Coordinate the City's official social media platForms including Facebook, Twitter, <br /> Instagram or other City communication portals, as assigned.
