05/09/2016 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15489 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> APPROVING A POLICY REGARDING UNAUTHORIZED BERTHING AT <br /> DOCKTOWN MARINA AND APPROVING CERTAIN ASSOCIATED <br /> UNAUTHORIZED BERTHING FEES AND COSTS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City ("City") owns and operates Docktown <br /> Marina ("Docktown"), which is located at 1548 Maple Street, Redwood City, CA 94063; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City operates Docktown on a fee-for-service basis and relies on <br /> fees both from Berthing License Agreements and Live Aboard Rental Agreements to <br /> fund Docktown operations; and <br /> WHEREAS, berthing is allowed at Docktown only with the consent and <br /> authorization of the City, as expressed in a Berthing License Agreement or Live Aboard <br /> Rental Agreement; and <br /> WHEREAS, boats sometimes overstay a lawful berthing or berth at Docktown <br /> without lawful right or the City's consent and authorization; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish a policy for the handing of boats <br /> that berth at Docktown unlawfully or without the City's written consent and authorization <br /> so as to more effectively manage the use of the Docktown facilities. <br /> NOW THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
