CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> ASSISTANT CITY CLERK (Continuedl <br /> 3. Participate in the selection, training and evaluation of staff; assume <br /> responsibility for motivating and evaluating assigned staff; provide necessary <br /> training; initiate disciplinary procedures as is appropriate. <br /> 4. Assist in evaluating, developing and implementing department goals, <br /> objectives, policies and procedures. <br /> 5. Manage the electronic and hardcopy processes related to the development <br /> and distribution of the City Council agenda, supporting documents and <br /> packet; conduct a review of all agenda items and staff reports for accuracy <br /> and formatting for both hardcopy and electronic submissions; develop and send <br /> agenda links to City staff and citizens; troubleshoot and resolve any electronic <br /> document issues. <br /> 6. Ensure that City Council meetings are properly set up and that all meeting audio- <br /> visual, communications and technology related equipment are functioning; <br /> interface with members of the public who wish to speak before Council, or who <br /> need information on the process and meeting; take meeting notes for use in <br /> minute preparation; finalize, transmit, and track City ordinances, agreements, <br /> resolutions and motions which appear on City Council agendas. <br /> 7. Supervise a variety of technical recordation and distribution activities such as <br /> maintaining an index of all City Council official actions; receiving; processing, <br /> preparing, and publishing documents regarding appeals for public hearings; <br /> receiving and opening bids; and supervising the production of the Code of <br /> Ordinance. <br /> 8. Evaluate City Clerk Office operations and activities for process efficiencies <br /> and effectiveness; identify continuous process improvements and <br /> modifications; conduct cost benefit analyses for process improvement; prepare <br /> recommendations for operational changes including the availability of staffing <br /> resources. <br /> 9. Perform project management duties as assigned by the City Clerk including <br /> project scoping, facilitating project stakeholder meetings, development of request <br /> for bid, participating in the selection of vendors, monitoring the work of <br /> contracted services for compliance with City scope of work, project <br /> implementation and monitoring the outcome to ensure it meets the City's needs. <br /> 10.
