Recruit, interview, select, hire, train and supervise the work of assigned staff; <br />perform staff evaluations to ensure the program maintains a high quality of services. <br />4. Meet regularly with program partners which may include school principals and <br />teachers, outside agencies and community organizations to provide status updates <br />on activities, respond to any questions and concerns, discuss program adjustments <br />as needed; ensure program continuity, participate in meetings and maintain strong <br />and collaborative relationships with these partners. <br />5. Prepare calendars with regard to program activities, events and resources for use by <br />staff in scheduling and communicating program information to others. <br />6. Assist in the promotion of program activities via the creation of marketing materials, <br />flyers and related documents; use a variety of platforms for communications <br />including e-mails, websites, and social media; attend various events to promote <br />services. <br />7. Purchase supplies and equipment for program services, ensuring compliance with <br />budget requirements. <br />8. Monitor daily operation to ensure services are properly provided by staff; ensure <br />staff have the tools and materials to perform their work and that all operations are <br />conducted in a safe and healthy environment. <br />9. Monitor program participation goals; identify program participation level; report <br />significant variances to supervisor; determine methods of increasing participation <br />rates as needed. <br />10. Coordinate assigned functions and programs with other City departments as well as <br />outside agencies. <br />11. Provide a safe and healthy environment for staff, program participants and the <br />general public; model safe work and play practices. <br />12. Maintain a variety of logs and records on assigned program. <br />13. Collect and maintain statistics, attendance reports and activity records. Submit a <br />quarterly performance report to the Recreation Supervisor or Manager. <br />14. Work in collaboration with Supervisor to create yearly budget, monitor working <br />budget and casual hours. <br />15. Keep accurate records of the participants in various recreation and community <br />services programs <br />16.
