06/26/2017 RESOLUTION NO. 15603 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING AND ADOPTING CERTAIN FEES AND CHARGES FOR CITY CLERK, THE FINANCE DIVISION OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES, LIBRARY, AND PARKS, RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES; DIRECTING CITY STAFF TO EVALUATE FACILITY RENTAL FEES EVERY TWO YEARS; RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS 11322 AND 14592; AND SUPERSEDING OTHER PREVIOUSLY ADOPTED FEES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City ("City") is empowered to impose reasonable fees, rates, and charges to offset the costs for municipal services; and WHEREAS, the City Council has, through prior actions, adopted various fees and charges requested by individual City Departments; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11322, adopted June 25, 1990, this City Council adopted certain fees for the Redwood City City Clerk Department; and WHEREAS, on May 10, 1999, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 13621, which established certain fees and charges for delinquent utility services; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14592, adopted June 7, 2004, this City Council adopted certain fees for picnic area reservation and building rentals for parks and recreation facilities for the Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department; and WHEREAS, the Redwood City Library Board has previously adopted fees for library services and for the use of library facilities; and WHEREAS, the City has conducted an extensive analysis of its services to ensure that user fees charged for services reflect the actual costs to the City and the City's taxpayers in providing those services; and WHEREAS, Matrix Consulting Group conducted a Cost of Services (User Fee) Study with respect to certain user fees in order to determine the cost to the City of Page 1 of 4 ATTY/RESO.0065/CC RESO ADOPT FEES FOR CLK, FIN, LIB, PRCS RESO.
