See also Section 2.2, <br />Off-Street Parking. <br />1S Restrict left turns during peak commute hours to <br />reduce bottlenecks and improve the flow of traffic. <br />StRAteGIeS <br />1Q Work with Caltrans to improve traffic signal timing, <br />which may be adjusted depending on time of day, <br />and traffic signal location to increase throughput. <br />1R Through development of a Parking Management <br />Plan, ensure that any changes to on-street park- <br />ing on El Camino Real retain adequate spaces to <br />support existing businesses and convenient access <br />for those with limited mobility, though these spaces <br />may be provided on side streets and off-street <br />lots, rather than on El Camino Real itself. Park- <br />ing management strategies may include, working <br />with businesses to create formal mutually benefi- <br />cial arrangements for sharing of existing parking, <br />identifying side streets with available right of way <br />GOALS <br />• Improve the safety and efficiency of vehicular traffic along and across El Camino Real. <br />• Provide a balanced and well-managed parking supply that accommodates demand while maximizing <br />efficiency. <br />Refer to Section <br />1.5, Street Network <br />and Circulation, for <br />goals and strategies <br />pertaining to the <br />roadway network.
