Wastewater Employees: <br />In 2011, employees in the classifications of Public Works Maintenance Worker I, II, and III (sewer <br />assignment only), Lead Public Works Maintenance Worker, Utilities Worker and Utilities <br />Specialist assigned to the Wastewater Division were classified into new job classifications with <br />wastewater job duties and the following certification requirements: <br />Job Classification <br />PWMW I-II (Wastewater) <br />PWMW III (Wastewater- Sewer <br />Assignment Only), Lead PWMW <br />(Wastewater), Utilities Worker <br />(Wastewater), Utilities Specialist <br />( Wastewater) <br />Certification Requirements: <br />Wastewater Collection System Grade I <br />Wastewater Collection System Grade II <br />Workers in these classifications were required to obtain the above certifications by January 1, 2013. <br />Effective the first pay period following ratification and adoption of the 2011-2014, salary schedules <br />for the classifications of Public Works Maintenance Worker I and II (Wastewater), Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker III (Wastewater -Sewer Assignment Only), Lead Public Works Maintenance <br />Worker (Wastewater), Utilities Worker (Wastewater), and Utilities Specialist (Wastewater), were <br />increased by one percent (1%) to reflect the new certification requirements. Effective the first full <br />pay period following February 1, 2014, salary schedules for the classifications of Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker I and 11 (Wastewater), Public Works Maintenance Worker III (Wastewater - <br />Sewer Assignment Only), Lead Public Works Maintenance Worker (Wastewater), Utilities Worker <br />( Wastewater), and Utilities Specialist (Wastewater), will be increased by an additional one percent <br />(I%) (for a total of two percent 2%) in recognition of the ongoing certification requirements. <br />Wastewater and non -wastewater classifications will be treated as combined classifications, as <br />described in Appendix A, for the purposes of layoff, bumping, and the creation of seniority lists <br />described in Article 7. <br />2. Effect of Amendment. Except to the extent the MOU is modified by this First <br />Amendment, the remaining terms and provisions of the MOU shall remain unmodified and <br />in full force and effect. <br />3. Counterparts.
