Amplified Sound <br />A. The use of amplified sound, in addition to the number of loudspeakers, their <br />location and direction, power output, and the hours during which they may be used, <br />shall be subject to written approval of the Parks and Recreation and Community <br />Services Department. <br />B. The Permittee shall immediately comply with any direction of the Police <br />Department or onsite City designee's request to reduce the sound generated by <br />the event. <br />Toilet Facilities <br />A. The placement of portable restrooms and hand washing facilities on Courthouse <br />Square is prohibited. <br />B. Permittee shall provide portable restrooms depending on the event and estimated <br />attendance. If the event is over three hours in length, one portable restroom shall <br />be required for every three hundred (300) attendees. <br />C. The City will waive the portable restroom requirement if the Permittee can <br />substantiate in writing the availability of adequate facilities in the immediate area. <br />Event Monitoring <br />Events may require dedicated City staff to be present. The City will determine whether <br />staff presence is needed, and the Permittee will be charged the cost of the event staffs <br />time per the current adopted Fee Schedule. <br />Signs and Decorations <br />A. Signs, banners and decorations may not be affixed within, on, or around <br />Courthouse Square unless the Permittee has obtained the written consent of the <br />City and/or the kiosk vendors (where applicable). All such signs shall comply with <br />all City laws and ordinances. <br />B. The method of attachment shall not: <br />1. Damage Courthouse Square or any structure; <br />2. Hinder access, pose a hazard due to excessive wind load, or create the <br />potential to cause bodily harm or property damage. <br />3. Penetrate any tree, plants, poles, or any fixed surface. <br />C. The Permittee conducting an event is not permitted to use the words, "City of <br />Redwood City" to suggest or indicate that the event is sponsored by the City, or <br />use the Redwood City logo in promotional materials or advertising for the event <br />without the City's written authorization. <br />D.
