Other types of tape such as standard <br />duct, masking or painters tape are not allowed. <br />Temporary Structures <br />Temporary structures such as a podium, stage, tent pole with a concrete base, table or <br />any other structure shall not be dragged on the surface of the Square. The Permittee is <br />required to protect the surface from rust. <br />Waste Disposal and Clean -Up at Events <br />A. A clean-up and waste disposal plan must be provided as part of the Courthouse <br />Square Event Permit Application. <br />B. All trash, litter, equipment, signage, and other temporary fixtures related to the <br />event must be removed to restore Courthouse Square to its original condition. <br />C. All trash containers must be properly emptied throughout the event and at the <br />conclusion of the event. <br />D. The Permittee will meet with City staff and the entity responsible for maintenance, <br />if different from the City, within three (3) days after the proposed event in order to <br />review the clean-up of Courthouse Square and to determine if additional clean-up <br />measures are required. <br />E. The Permittee will be required to pay the City to preschedule power washing for <br />events that include some or all of the following; food, drinks, dancing. <br />F. The Permittee is required to pay a cleaning and damage deposit for all costs <br />incurred by the City to clean and/or restore the Square. The Parks, Recreation <br />and Community Services Department will collect and maintain the deposit. If the <br />surface of Courthouse Square and surrounding sidewalks requires unanticipated <br />power washing because of stains resulting from the Permittee's activity, the City <br />will coordinate the power washing services and retain the deposit, a portion <br />thereof, or invoice the Permittee for cleaning charges exceeding the deposit. If the <br />Permittee restores Courthouse Square to its original condition, prior to the event, <br />the deposit will be refunded. <br />Recycling <br />A. A recycling plan must be submitted with the Courthouse Square Event Application. <br />This plan will address strategies to reduce and recycle waste generated by the <br />event. <br />B. The recycling containers must be properly emptied throughout the event and at the <br />conclusion of the event. <br />C.
