RESOLUTION NO. 15770 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RESCINDING RESOLUTION 15496 AND ADOPTING THE RECYCLED WATER SERVICE AREA MAP IN CONNECTION WITH THE RECYCLED WATER USE ORDINANCE WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 14544, the City adopted a mitigated negative declaration for the Redwood City Recycled Water Project ('Project'), which consists of infrastructure facilities (transmission and distribution pipelines, pump stations, storage reservoirs and minor appurtenant facilities) to deliver disinfected tertiary treated recycled water from the Silicon Valley Clean Water wastewater treatment plant to customers in the Redwood Shores, Greater Bayfront and Central Redwood City area, as well as other potential customers inside and outside of the City; and WHEREAS, on August 11, 2003, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 14547, approving the Project to provide recycled water to customers in the Recycled Water Service Area for non -potable uses approved by the State; and WHEREAS, on July 7, 2008, the City Council adopted the 'Recycled Water Use" Ordinance, codified in City Code Chapter 38, Article VIII, prescribing the uses of recycled water in the City; and WHEREAS, the Recycled Water Use Ordinance defines the "Recycled Water Service Area" as the precise geographical area designated by the City and adopted by resolution of the City Council to which the City will provide recycled water service where it has been determined to be or is expected to be available; and WHEREAS, on May 12, 2008, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 14863, delineating the precise geographical area designated by the City via its Exhibit "A", the Recycled Water Service Area Map, which was incorporated by reference to the Resolution; and WHEREAS, the Recycled Water Use Ordinance allows the City to update the Recycled Water Service Area by resolution; and WHEREAS, on June 13, 2016, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 15496 expanding the Recycled Water Service Area to include the Stanford in Redwood City Precise Plan Area; and Page 1 of 2 ATTY/RESO.0053 CC RESO RECYCLED WATER SERVICE AREA AMEND.
