09/09/2019 <br />Understand eligibility requirements, underwriting criteria, and terms of debt service <br />for loans. <br />Quickly assess grants and funding opportunities from all sources while being <br />proactive in seeking out additional financial resources. <br />Communicate effectively in a wide range of public speaking settings, explaining <br />complex housing initiatives and program information clearly and concisely to <br />policymakers and laypersons. <br />Successfully partner with other organizations and the community including <br />collaborating with and seeking input from a variety of stakeholders (developers, <br />non -profits, regional agencies, residents, etc.). <br />Plan, organize, supervise, review and evaluate the work of staff in a manner <br />conducive to independent judgment, high performance, and personal <br />accountability. <br />Experience and Education Guidelines: <br />Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required <br />knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and <br />abilities would be: <br />Experience: <br />Six years of increasingly responsible experience in housing development <br />and rehabilitation, planning, or related field, with at least two years that <br />include administrative and supervisory responsibilities, planning, organizing <br />and coordinating housing programs. <br />Education: <br />Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major <br />course work in public or business administration, public policy, planning, <br />finance or a related field is required. An advanced degree is desirable. <br />License or Certificate: <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver's license. <br />Work Environment: <br />Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: <br />Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office <br />equipment, including a computer; to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various <br />ATTY/RESO.0089/CC RESO TO ESTABLISH NEW CLASSIFICATION RESO.
