<br />EXHIBIT A-1 <br />REDWOOD CITY FAIR OAKS MOBILITY PLAN: SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />All work outlined in the tasks below will be completed between November 1, 2007 and December 31,2008. MIG will provide <br />the City with bi-weekfy updates on budget as requested, and will bill the City monthfy for all proftssional time and direct costs <br />during that time period Unless otherwise specified, MI G will provide the City with one (1) electronic copy of each deliverable in <br />Adobe PDF format, written in both English and Spanish. Cost estimates for proposed improvements will be provided in <br />Microsoft Excel with the appropriate formulas and data sources. <br /> <br />TASK A: <br /> <br />RESEARCH <br /> <br />Ai: Project Team Kick-Off Meeting & Neighborhood Tour <br />Dates: November 2007 <br /> <br />MIG will gather all relevant data from the City and other local agencies, including demographics, existing <br />studies, maps, site data, and GIS fues (if available). In addition, the MIG Team will visit the project area with <br />City staff, as well as tour the overall neighborhood, to better understand the existing conditions in the project <br />area. <br /> <br />A2: CPTED Staff Training <br />Date: November 2007 <br /> <br />MIG will conduct a three-hour training for Redwood City staff in the guiding principles of Crime Prevention <br />Through Environmental Design (CPTED) with an experienced MIG trainer who has worked extensively <br />with CPTED in a number of cities. This training will lay the groundwork for city staff to begin applying these <br />concepts to designs and plans for Fair Oaks and other neighborhoods across Redwood City. This training will <br />be conducted by two MIG staff members. The location for the training will be arranged by the City. <br /> <br />The MIG Team will provide 25 copies of all training materials, and will provide the City with electronic copies of these materials <br />to make any additional copies for City use. <br /> <br />TASK B: <br /> <br />COMMUNITY OUTREACH & MARKETING <br /> <br />Bi: Mobility Survey & Report <br />Deliverable #1: Mobility Survey in electronic format <br /> <br />Deliverable #2: Report on Mobility Survey <br /> <br />Due f?y: February 2008 <br />Due f?y: May 2008 <br /> <br />The Mobility Survey, developed by Fehr & Peers and graphically designed by MIG's expert art team, will be <br />mailed to residents and business owners across the Fair Oaks community. Survey takers from Fehr & Peers <br />will use both in-person and mail-back methods to collect data that will provide critical information about how <br />people get around Fair Oaks, what obstacles they face, and which transportation elements community <br />members would like to see change. <br /> <br />Fehr & Peers has prepared transportation surveys for various projects involving traffic calming studies, <br />bicycle and pedestrian improvements and design efforts, and will work with MIG to develop and refine a <br />user-friendly survey to gather the following input from members of the community: <br />· Key transportation routes (by various travel modes) <br />· Circulation constraint locations <br />· Prioritization of concerns <br /> <br />MOORE IACOFANO GOL TSMAN, INC.
