<br />. <br /> <br />Initial ideas about potential improvement options <br /> <br />The MIG Team will work with Redwood City to ensure that this survey reaches at least ten percent of <br />households and businesses in the project area. <br /> <br />The MIG Team will provide the Mobiliry Surory to the Ciry in full-color electronicformat. The Ciry will be responsible for the <br />cost of printing and mailing the surorys, although MI G 1 graphic design team can provide spetifications for printing as needed <br /> <br />B2: Project Publicity FIyers and Stakeholder Outreach <br />Deliverable #3: One poster-sized flyer, one 8.5"x11" flyer, and one postcard, all bilingual <br /> <br />Due ~: Ongoing <br /> <br />MIG's experienced graphic designers and public information specialists will work with Redwood City, the <br />Multicultural Institute, and other community partners to develop a message that will reach and speak to all <br />Fair Oaks community members. These materials will include flyers and posters for distribution throughout <br />the community, as well as a postcard to be mailed to residents. Additional outreach will be conducted by <br />MIG with City staff assistance through visits to schools, churches, the Fair Oaks Community Center, <br />community restaurants and businesses, and other local groups. Staff of the Multicultural Institute will also <br />conduct a word-of-mouth outreach campaign to build energy and trust around the workshops and encourage <br />all residents to attend and participate. <br /> <br />All materials will be developed in both Spanish and English. The MIG Team will provide all materials in full- <br />color electronic format to the City. The City will be responsible for the cost of printing and mailing all <br />publicity materials. <br /> <br />The MIG Team, in consultation with the City, will also identify no fewer than six venues for notification of <br />the meetings and workshops. These venues may include local newspapers, radio stations, Internet sites, and <br />bulletin boards at neighborhood gathering spaces. MIG will prepare press releases to be distributed in <br />advance of each workshop. Direct costs will be limited to $1,000 for this task. The City may opt to fund <br />additional ad placements as appropriate. The MIG Team will also work through community partners to <br />ensure that residents, business owners, and other community members hear about the project through <br />multiple means. <br /> <br />B3: Workshop Activity Materials (Workshops 1-3) <br />Deliverable #4: Round 1 workshop materials in electronic format <br /> <br />Due~: November 2007 <br /> <br />MIG will develop innovative, hands-on materials tailored to support each of the ftrst three community <br />workshops, including presentation materials, comment cards, and up to six (6) appropriate maps for each <br />event. <br /> <br />The MIG Team will provide all matenals to the Ciry in full-color electronic format at least ten days before each event (or earlier <br />as needed if agreed upon with the Ciry in advance). The Ciry will be responsible for printing and plotting matenals as needed <br /> <br />B4: Workshop Round 1 (Workshops 1-3) <br />Dates: November/December 2007 <br /> <br />MIG and the Multicultural Institute will host one large three-hour kick-off community workshop and two <br />smaller two-hour community workshops with both English-language and Spanish-language facilitators. At the <br />kick-off workshop, English-language and Spanish-language conversations will be held simultaneously in <br />adjacent rooms.
