Authorize, by motion, the City to execute a license with Daily Boost doing business
as "Daily Boost" for License Area 1 B in Courthouse Square

BACKGROUND
In 2005, Redwood City entered into a 55-year Grant of Easement and License
Cooperative Agreement with the County of San Mateo to create Courthouse Square,
reconstruct the Courthouse fa<;ade, and preserve the historic County Courthouse Block.
In 2006, the County amended the Cooperative Agreement to allow the City to install
restrooms within the City's easement area for use by the general public. The other applicant, Ruhina Karmali of Daily Boost LLC is ready to sign the
lease and license agreements.

The challenges of leasing the pavilions were briefly discussed by the Council's
Downtown Committee at their last meeting on August 28.
