_ 1/24/00 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13813 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS; <br />APPROVING AMOUNT OF CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT FOR <br />THE CONSTRUCTION OF FIRE STATION NO. 11; ACCEPTING <br />BIDS; REJECTING CERTAIN BIDS; AND AUTHORIZING CITY <br />CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City proposes to construct a fire station <br />(Fire Station No. 11) in the City of Redwood City (the "Project'); and <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires professional <br />architectural, engineering, and construction management/general contractor <br />services; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 12, 1999, the City Council of the City of Redwood <br />City approved an agreement for the design, engineering, and construction of Fire <br />Station No. 11, with W. L. Butler Construction, Inc. (the "Agreement'), as <br />evidenced by Resolution No. 13602; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, W.L. Butler Construction, Inc. <br />('Butler ") prepared and caused to be prepared, architectural, engineering, and <br />construction plans, specifications, and documents (the "Construction <br />Documents ") for the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, the City of Redwood City caused <br />to be advertised for bids from various trades for the construction of the Project; <br />and <br />Reso -814 1 <br />F: /Shared /Redwood /Council <br />FXS:rg <br />01/19/2000 <br />
