RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR, AND THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS TO CERTAIN PROJECTS RELATING TO FEDERAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION AND CONGESTION MITIGATION AND AIR QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAMS (RUBBERIZED RAILROAD CROSSINGS IN THE CITIES OF BURLINGAME AND SAN MATEO); AND TO ENDORSE THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION RELATING TO ALLOCATION OF SUCH FUNDS TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT

2/7/00 <br />2. The City of Redwood City will provide local matching funds. <br />3. The City of Redwood City understands that the STP and CMAQ Improvement <br />program funding for the project is fixed at $147,000.00 (STP /CMAQ amount), and that <br />any cost increases must be funded by the City of Redwood City from local matching <br />funds, and that the City of Redwood City does not expect any cost increases to be <br />funded with STP or CMAQ Improvement Program funds. <br />4. Construction of Rubberized Railroad Crossings in the Cities of Burlingame <br />and San Mateo will be built as described in this resolution and, if approved, as specified <br />in the MTC's TIP. <br />5. The program funds are expected to be obligated by September 30, 2002. <br />6. The Director of Community Development Services is hereby authorized and <br />directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the MTC in conjunction with the filing of <br />the application. <br />7. The MTC is requested to support the application for the project described in <br />the resolution and to program the project, if approved, in MTC's TIP. <br />8. The City Manager and the Director of Community Development Services are <br />hereby authorized and directed to make such additional representations and <br />assurances and to execute such documents (in form approved by the City Attorney) <br />consistent herewith as may be necessary for implementation hereof. <br />13825 <br />Reso•816 3 <br />F: /ShuedRedwood/Council <br />FXS:djk <br />01/26/00 <br />
