O R I G I N A L 4/24/00 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13836 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF DEED OF <br />CONVEYANCE TO THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns the properties located at <br />Rolison Road and Haven Avenue, in the City of Redwood City, and more fully <br />described on Exhibit "A," (the "City Properties "); and <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City (the <br />"Agency ") desires to acquire the City Properties from the City of Redwood City; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Agency is interested in transferring the City Properties <br />and other properties owned by the Agency (the "Agency Properties "; and <br />collectively, the "Properties "), to Peninsula Habitat For Humanity, Inc., <br />( "Habitat'), a non profit corporation, to allow Habitat to construct affordable <br />ownership housing on the Properties; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to consummate the transfer of the Properties to <br />Habitat for the development of the Properties for the benefit of low income <br />households, it is necessary for the Agency to acquire fee title to the City <br />Properties; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Properties are not used by City for municipal <br />purposes; and <br />FAshared\Redwood \Council\ t <br />Reso -867 <br />FXS:fs <br />04/18/00 <br />
