EXHIBIT "A" <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />MANAGEMENT ANALYST <br />To provide staff support, coordinate administrative projects and perform technical <br />analysis on administrative issues. <br />SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED <br />Direction is provided by various staff members, according to assigned projects. <br />Responsibilities may include technical or functional supervision over other <br />personnel. <br />EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES <br />1. Serve as lead person in the City's performance measurement/ <br />benchmarking program. <br />2. Conduct surveys and perform research and statistical analyses on <br />administrative, fiscal, personnel and operational problems; make <br />recommendations on the formulation of policy and procedure. <br />2. Perform special projects of an inter - divisional or inter - departmental nature <br />as assigned. <br />3. Participate in the installation of new and revised programs, systems <br />procedures and methods of operation; and /or evaluate programs and <br />procedures. <br />4. Coordinate the research, development, review and preparation of grant <br />applications; monitor existing programs for compliance with regulations. <br />5. Assist in the development, coordination and monitoring of the department <br />budget; prepare expenditure summary reports. <br />6. Compile materials and assist in the preparation of reports, manuals and <br />publications. <br />7. Participate in administering contracts as assigned. <br />8. Provide assistance to Council subcommittees (i.e. Utility Subcommittee). <br />14073 <br />
