BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby consents pursuant to the provisions of Section <br />36521.5 of the Law, to the formation of a Parking and Business Improvement <br />Area ( "Area ") to be known as the "San Mateo County Tourism Business <br />Improvement District ", and to the inclusion of territory within the corporate limits <br />of this City in said area and hereby authorizes the City of Burlingame, California <br />to conduct all necessary and appropriate proceedings to establish said Area; <br />provided, that the San Mateo County Tourism Business Improvement District <br />shall be established solely for the purpose of promoting tourism within the Area <br />and shall levy assessments upon the operation of commercial lodging facilities <br />(and shall be defined in the Ordinance establishing the Area) for that purpose. <br />2.
