7 <br />09/10/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1437 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br />(1) AERIAL TREE TRUCK; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published for <br />the purchase of one (1) aerial tree truck for the Public Works Services <br />Department of the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication two bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Pacific Utility Equipment Co., of Sacramento, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder (meeting the City's specifications) and it is the intention <br />and desire of this Council to accept the bid of Pacific Utility Equipment Co.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Pacific Utility Equipment Co., in the total amount of One <br />Hundred Seventy -Five Thousand Five Hundred Thirty -Six and 00/100 Dollars <br />($175,536.00), computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated August <br />15, 2001, for the purchase of one (1) aerial tree truck, which bid is on file in the <br />office of the City Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br />thereof, is hereby approved, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br />the lowest responsible bidder for the sale of said aerial tree truck to the City. <br />F:Atty2001 Shared/Redwood/Council/Reso/Reso-1 233 <br />
