1/27/03 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14491 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF <br />UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND REDWOOD CITY POLICE SERGEANTS ASSOCIATION <br />FOR THE PERIOD OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2002 THROUGH <br />AUGUST 31, 2006; AND ESTABLISHING A SALARY <br />SCHEDULE AND WAGE PLAN FOR THE POSITION OF POLICE <br />SERGEANT; AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 14294 AND <br />ANY AND ALL AMENDMENT PERTAINING THERETO <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Effective with the first full pay period beginning on or after September 1, 2002, <br />the monthly salary rates in dollars, and the hourly equivalent rates thereof as set forth in <br />Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, are hereby <br />established for the employee position within the employment classification of Police <br />Sergeant, as set forth in Exhibit A for the designated steps for the period of September <br />1, 2002 to and including August 31, 2006, and as more specifically set forth below: <br />First Year <br />Salary Effective September 9, 2002, 7.4% increase based on formula. <br />Sick Leave Effective September 9, 2002, increase the sick leave accrual from <br />eight (8) hour per month to ten (10) hours per month. <br />Medical Effective September 1, 2002, provide retiree medical coverage to <br />include family for PSA members who retire on a disability retirement. <br />Service years Reduce the number of years of service required to qualify for <br />retiree medical from 20 to 10 years. <br />Second Year <br />F:Afty /Reso /Reso.1354 <br />012103 <br />
