11/24/2003 SECTION 3. That the number of votes given at each precinct and the number of votes given in the City to each of the persons above named for the respective offices for which the persons were candidates and for and against the measures were as listed in the attached Exhibit "A." SECTION 4. The City Council does declare and determine that the following candidates were elected for the full term of four years by the following vote: Ira Ruskin 5,326 Barbara Pierce 5,265 Rosanne Foust 5,110 Ian Bain 4,427 That as a result of the election, a majority of the voters voting on the measures relating to the Uniform Transient Occupancy Tax (Measure "F ") and Charter Amendments (Measure "G "), did vote in favor of them, and that the measures were carried, and shall be deemed adopted and ratified. Measure "F" Yes — 4,678 No — 2,515 Measure "G" Yes — 5,249 No — 1,822 SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of the City, a statement of the result of the election, showing: (1) the whole number of ballots cast in the City; (2) the names of the persons voted for; (3) the measures voted upon; (4) for what office each person was voted for; (5) the number of votes given at each precinct to each person, and for and against each measure; (6) the total number of votes given to each person, and for and against each measure. SECTION 6. The City Council of the City of Redwood City submitted to the qualified voters of the City at the Election, Measure "F," related to the Uniform Transient Occupancy Tax, to amend the Municipal Code described in Section 4 hereof, with an ordinance. The City Council incorporates by reference Exhibit "B," attached hereto, which is the full text of an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Redwood City amending Section 32.75 of the Municipal Code of the City of Redwood City, providing for an increase in the transient occupancy tax to ten percent (10 %). The Measure passed by a majority of voters voting in favor thereof. SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to each of the persons so elected a Certificate of Election signed by the City Clerk and authenticated; that the City Clerk shall also administer to each person elected the Oath of Office prescribed in the Constitution of the State of California and shall have them subscribe to it and file it in the office of the City Clerk.
