04/12/2004 <br />W, <br />WHEREAS, it is important to make certain that Redwood City retains the <br />flexibility to make local land use and zoning decisions which accurately reflect local <br />conditions and circumstances, to ensure the well -being of the people who live and work <br />in this community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY that the City hereby expresses its strong opposition to Assembly <br />Bill 2702, and directs the City Manager to forward a copy of this resolution to the bill's <br />author, the Honorable Darrell Steinberg, to our local legislative delegation, and to the <br />League of California Cities. <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1459 <br />040503 <br />2 <br />14576 <br />Muff # 214 <br />
