<br />11/14/2005 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14675 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY TO AMEND THE GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATION OF <br />PROPERTIES GENERALLY LOCATED AT WOODSIDE ROAD, HESS <br />ROAD AND LUCERNE AVENUE, AS FURTHER DESCRIBED IN THIS <br />RESOLUTION, FROM “COMMERCIAL-NEIGHBORHOOD” AND <br />“RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY” TO “COMMERCIAL-MIXED USE” <br />WHEREAS <br />, after a duly noticed public hearing on September 20, 2005, the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City (the “Commission”) recommended to <br />the City Council, an amendment of the Strategic General Plan of the City of Redwood <br />City (the “General Plan”) to amend the General Plan designation of properties located at <br />Woodside Road, Hess Road and Lucerne Avenue, as further described in this <br />resolution, from Commercial-Neighborhood or Residential High Density to Commercial- <br />Mixed Use; and <br />WHEREAS <br />, this Council, having reviewed the recommendation of the Planning <br />Commission and having considered the evidence received at the public hearing duly <br />noticed and held for said proposed amendment, finds that the proposed amendments <br />are in the public interest and consistent with the purposes of the Redwood City Zoning <br />Ordinance and desires to amend the General Plan in the manner proposed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby incorporated <br />herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2.That the General Plan is hereby amended to change the General Plan <br />designation of the real property located at 492 Woodside Road, Redwood City, <br />California (Assessor’s Parcel No. 053-293-360) as shown on the attached Exhibit <br />“A”, which is incorporated herein by this reference, from Commercial- <br />Neighborhood to Commercial-Mixed Use. <br />3.That the General Plan is hereby amended to change the General Plan <br />designation of the real properties located at 1606and 1620Hess Road, <br />Redwood City, California (Assessor’s Parcel Nos.053-293-180and 053-293- <br />190) as shown on the attached Exhibit “A”, which is incorporated herein by this <br />reference, from Residential-High Density to Commercial-Mixed Use. <br />Atty/Reso.1572RESO. # 14675 <br />1MUFF# 603 <br />110805 <br /> <br />
