01/23/2007 Superintendent position with a Fleet Manager, who would report to the Public Works Service Director. The operations leader would be replaced with a Fleet Supervisor, who would report to the Fleet Manager and supervise the 8 fleet employees. Job descriptions for these new classifications are provided in Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) department is restructuring to eliminate the PRCS Manager position dedicated to the Custodial Services Program and replace it with a first-line supervising position titled Custodial Services Supervisor because the responsibilities of the Custodial Services section require a lesser level of management expertise than the other departmental divisions. In addition, such a restructure would result in a salary savings. A job description of this new classification is provided in Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, the net fiscal impact on the budget of all these actions is to decrease salaries and benefits $34,413.48 annually and $17,868.54 for the remainder of the 2006/07 fiscal year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOllOWS: 1. The job specifications for the positions of Public Works Maintenance Worker III, Public Works Maintenance Worker I-II, Lead Public Works Maintenance Worker, Consumer Service Technician, Customer Support Service Specialist, Utilities Locator, Utilities Specialist, Fleet Manager, Fleet Supervisor, and Custodian Services Supervisor are set forth in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein, are hereby approved.
