<br />05/19/2008 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Conservancy require the <br /> <br />applicant's governing body to authorize the filing of the application and to <br /> <br />authorize one or more persons to act in connection with the application and to <br /> <br />provide additional information that may be required by the Conservancy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Conservancy require the <br /> <br />grantee to certify by resolution the acceptance of such grant agreement and its <br /> <br />terms and conditions of said agreement to the State. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOllOWS: <br />1. That the City Council hereby approves the filing of a grant <br />application for $150,000 from the Conservancy for the Interpretive Center. <br />2. That the City Council hereby approves the acceptance of a grant <br />award in the amount of $150,000 from the California State Coastal Conservancy <br />for the Interpretive Center. <br />3. That the Library Director or his designee is authorized to negotiate <br />and execute all necessary contractual documents, payment requests, and to <br />otherwise take any necessary action in connection with the grant application. <br />4. That the City of Redwood City ("City") agrees to the conditions set <br />forth in the List of Assurances, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated <br />herein by this reference. <br />5.
