<br />GGH:bc 8/13/80 <br /> <br />8668 <br /> <br />ORJGI NAL <br />AUG 1 8 1980 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR TRENCH PATCHING PROJECT <br />FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81 IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSIT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8633, adopted July 7, 1980, <br /> <br />the City Clerk called for bids for the Redwood City Water Department <br /> <br />Trench Patching Project for the fiscal year 1980-81 in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, G. Bortolotto & Co., Foster City, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said bid to said G. Bortolotto & Co.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of G. Bortolotto & Co. in the total amount of <br /> <br />Twenty-four Thousand Eighty and No/lOO Dollars ($24,080.00), <br /> <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated July 29, 1980, <br /> <br />for the Redwood City Water Department Trench Patching Project <br /> <br />for the fiscal year 1980-81 in the City of Redwood City; according <br /> <br />to those certain specifications entitled "Special provisions for <br /> <br />the Construction of Water Department Trench Patching 1980-81 - <br /> <br />Redwood City, California," is hereby accepted and said bidder is <br /> <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br /> <br />said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for <br /> <br />the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph <br /> <br />1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />8668 <br />
