<br />,.;~ <br /> <br />SWC:mf 3/5/81 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />MAR 9 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />8 8 0 (7 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br />REPLACEMENT PATROL VEHICLE AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article VII of Chapter <br /> <br />2 of the Redwood City Code, the City Manager has solicited one <br /> <br />bid for the furnishing of a 1980 Chevrolet Malibu to be used <br /> <br />for municipal purposes, only one prospective bidder being known <br /> <br />to the City Manager; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, a bid was received and filed <br /> <br />with the Director of Finance for the furnishing of said equipment; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, NATIONAL CAR RENTAL SYSTEM, INC., Burlingame, <br /> <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing <br /> <br />of said equipment, and it is the intention of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to 'National Car Rental System, Inc.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of National Car Rental System, Inc., in the total <br /> <br />lump sum of Six Thousand Two Hundred Forty-eight and 70/100 <br />Dollars ($6,248.70), for the furnishing of 1980 Chevrolet Malibu <br /> <br />in accordance with the specifications therefor on file in the <br /> <br />office of the Director of Finance, is hereby accepted and said <br /> <br />bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder for the furnishing of said equipment. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an <br /> <br />agreement with National Car Rental System, Inc. for the furnishing <br /> <br />of the above mentioned equipment in accordance with, and subject <br /> <br />to, the terms and conditions of the aforementioned specifications <br /> <br />and in accordance with the aforementioned bidder's proposal. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8807 <br />
