<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />9007 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />NQV 23 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING BY ADOPTING, BY REFERENCE, <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE FOR THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act of 1974, 12 amended (Cal. <br /> <br />Gov't C. Sections 81000, et sq.)., requires every state or local <br /> <br />government agency to adopt and promulgate a Conflict of Interest <br /> <br />Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7676, adopted September 15, 1976, <br /> <br />this Council approved the separate codes for each City department; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the various departmental codes are outdated due to <br /> <br />legislative revisions and changes in administrative structure; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the California Fair Political Practices Commission <br /> <br />has adopted a regulation (2 Cal. Admin. C. Section 18730) which <br /> <br />contains the terms of a standard model Conflict of Interest Code, <br /> <br />which can be incorporated by reference, and which will be amended <br /> <br />to conform to amendments in the Political Reform Act after public <br /> <br />notice and hearings conducted by the Fair Political Practices <br /> <br />Commission pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act (Gov't. C. <br /> <br />Sections 11370, et seq.); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council, as Code-reviewing body for the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City, has determined that the attached Exhibits "A-M" <br /> <br />accurately set forth those positions which should be designated <br /> <br />and the categories of financial interests which should be made <br /> <br />reportable for each City department; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />9 007 <br />
