'~ DES:d~ 04/29/96 (103/41) <br /> -- 0 R I G I N A L -- 5/13/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12756 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ONE YEAR ACTION PLAN FOR THE <br /> CONSOLIDATED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PLAN OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL <br /> ASSISTANCE - COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT); <br /> CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED <br /> CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL <br /> YEAR 1996-97) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program, <br /> authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community <br /> Development Act of 1974, (P.L. 93-383), as amended ("the Act"), <br /> <br /> requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds develop a <br /> Consolidated Community Development Block Grant Plan <br /> ("Consolidated Plan") to provide for the issuance of grants in <br /> order to attain the objective of the development of viable urban <br /> communities, by providing decent housing and a suitable living <br /> environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Council has received and reviewed a One Year Action <br /> Plan for the City's Consolidated Plan (consisting of an <br /> application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development) for monies to be appropriated for a Community <br /> Development Block Grant for the period July 1, 1996, through June <br /> 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development has prepared <br /> a Notice of Determination, signifying that the Community <br /> Development Block Grant Program and the One year Action Plan for <br /> the City's Consolidated Plan, are exempt from the requirements of <br /> the National Environmental Protection Act ("NEPA") and the <br /> <br /> <br />
