<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 9 1 4 7 <br /> <br />CGM:mf 6/23/82 <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUN 2 8 1982 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING <br />OF STREET MAINTENANCE MATERIALS (SAND, AGGREGATE, <br />PEA GRAVEL, GRANITE CHIPS, CEMENT AND CONCRETE) <br />FOR 1982-83 FISCAL YEAR; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9127, adopted May 24, <br /> <br />1982, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of street <br /> <br />maintenance materials (sand, aggregate, pea gravel, granite chips, <br /> <br />cement and concrete) for 1982-83 Fiscal Year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said materials; and <br />WHEREAS, Peninsula Building Materials Co., Redwood City, <br /> <br />California, is the only, and lowest responsible bidder for the <br /> <br />furnishing of said materials, and it is the intention of this <br /> <br />Council to award said bid to Peninsula Building Materials Co.; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Peninsula Building Materials Co., in the <br /> <br />amount of Sixty-six Thousand Two Hundred Four and 53/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($66,204.53), more or less, for the furnishing of street maintenance <br /> <br />materials (sand, aggregate, pea gravel, granite chips, cement and <br /> <br />concrete) for 1982-83 Fiscal Year in accordance with the bidder's <br /> <br />proposal, dated June 15, 1982, and in accordance with the <br /> <br />specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to <br /> <br />be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />materials. <br /> <br />9147 <br />
