SWC:rb 9/16/83

life, health, property and safety of the occupants of such

building and of persons in the surrounding vicinity of such

structure.

2. The specific findings supporting the determination that

such building is a public nuisance are as follows:

a. The foundation is deteriorated and inadequate;
foundation walls in basement are cracked and
crumbling; therefore, exterior walls on north side
of structure no longer rest on foundation plate due
to basement foundation walls failing and
differential settlement. In addition, the
northeast corner of the foundation is being
completely uprooted by a large tree.

b. Flooring and floor supports are deteriorated,
spongy and sloping due to framing members of
insufficient size to carry imposed loads with
safety and to foundation deterioration.

c. Ceiling and roof supports are sagging and beginning
to buckle in the sunroom, which is separating from
the main structure.

d. Roof covering on main building is also buckling and
rotting.

e. Front porch is falling apart and rotting due to
deteriorating foundation and ineffective
waterproofing.

f. Stucco at entry porch is crumbling due to
foundation failing.

g. Exterior walls, roof, foundation and floors are not
adequately waterproofed; exterior wall coverings
are weathering due to lack of paint.

h. Electric service panel is underwired and overfused;
conductors and underhouse wiring are exposed to
damage in basement area. Water seepage requires
pump to remove. Said pump is plugged into 110V
recepticle in house and is a fire hazard.

i. Electrical grounding is inadequate and galvanized
water pipe is deteriorating; extensive use of zip
cord wiring in lieu of permanent wiring is found
throughout building.

2
