RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY PROPOSING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ORDERING SUBMISSION THEREOF TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AT THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION OF APRIL 10, 1984 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Council of Redwood City does hereby propose, on its motion, that those certain amendments hereinafter set forth be made to the Charter of the City of Redwood City, and does hereby order that such proposed Charter amendments be submitted to the electors of the City of Redwood City at the General Municipal

<br />DF.S:djg-c 12/8/83 <br /> <br />the electors of the City of Redwood City at the General Municipal <br /> <br />Election to be held in the City on April 10, 1984, in the form of <br /> <br />a proposal to amend said Charter by amending Section 21 and adding <br /> <br />Section 31 thereof. On the ballots and on the voting machines to <br /> <br />be used at said election, in addition to all other matters <br /> <br />required by law to be printed thereon, shall appear the following: <br /> <br />PROPOSITION E: Shall Section 21 be amended, and <br />Section 31 be added to the Redwood City Charter to <br />refer to, and establish the position of Director of <br />Finance? <br /> <br />SECTION 8. <br /> <br />(a) The Council of Redwood City hereby proposes, <br /> <br />on its own motion to amend Section l4a of the Charter of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> <br />"SECTION 14a. MAYOR'S CONTINGENT FUND: <br /> <br />"The Mayor's contingent fund, as established by Section 14 of <br />this Charter, shall be augmented by the amount of ~we ft~fteree <br />fif~Y 6e~~a~s ~$~5et Nine Hundred Fifty ($950) a year, to provide <br />a total of f~~e ft~fteree ee~~ars ~$5eet Twelve Hundred Dollars <br />($1,200) a year for which he or she need produce no vouchers." <br /> <br />(b) Said Charter amendment proposal shall be submitted to <br /> <br />the electors of the City of Redwood City at the General Municipal <br /> <br />Election to be held in the City on April 10, 1984, in the form of <br /> <br />a proposal to amend said Charter by amending Section 14a thereof. <br /> <br />On the ballots and on the voting machines to be used at said <br /> <br />election, in addition to all other matters required by law to be <br /> <br />printed thereon, shall appear the following: <br /> <br />PROPOSITION F: Shall Section 14a of the Redwood <br />City Charter be amended to provide that the Mayor's <br />contingent fund shall be $1200 annually? <br /> <br />10 <br />
