<br />SWC:di0-C 3/16/84 <br /> <br />MAY 1 4 1984 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />95'/ :i <br /> <br />OR)GH'iAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING A CER'I'IF'ICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE <br />TO DAVID KIMMEL AS NEW OWNER OF MID-PENINSULA CAB CO.; <br />AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO ISSUE TAXICAB PERMI'I'S <br />PURSUANT THERETO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, David Kimmel, new owner of Mid-Peninsula Cab Co., <br /> <br />which company has heretofore operated taxicabs in the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City under the ownership of Oliver Nordby, has filed with <br /> <br />this Council <br /> <br />an application for a Certificate of Public <br /> <br />Convenience and Necessity for the purpose of operating taxicabs <br /> <br />in the City of Redwood City, under the fictitious business name <br /> <br />IIMid-Peninsula Cab Co.lI; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 33 of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City, this Council after duly noticed public hearing, and <br /> <br />upon consideration of the aforesaid application, and upon public <br /> <br />test.imony having been presented therefor, finds that t.he public <br /> <br />convenience <br /> <br />and necessity will be <br /> <br />served by granting a <br /> <br />Cert.ificate to David Kimmel; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOvJS: <br /> <br />1. Upon consideration of t_he application of David Kimmel, <br /> <br />dba Mid-Peninsula Cab Co., <br /> <br />for a Certificate of Public <br /> <br />Convenience, this Council hereby finds that no additional taxicab <br /> <br />service will be required by a grant of such Certificate. <br /> <br />~J ;) '18 <br />
