The Traffic Study is Attachment #5 of the Addendum starting on page 67 and can be accessed at www.redwoodcity.org. The traffic analysis concludes that no new significant traffic or pedestrian impacts would result from project, which now has access off Woodside. The property can only be accessed from either: 1) Horgan Road or 2) woodside Road. The neighborhood residents and City Council made it very clear that access from Horgan Road is not acceptable, so access from Woodside Road is the only other alternative. The project driveway will have a right turn only sign for exiting cars, similar to that of the Montecito Apartments. Project residents exiting the site will queue inside the parking garage, minimizing queuing on Woodside. Cars can only exit the site one car at a time. pedestrians at Union are as safe as any pedestrian using public sidewalks in a residential or commercial sett.ing. The cars will stop at the driveway prior to exiting the site just as all drivers do before entering onto a public right of way. There is not a gate into the property parking garage, which will minimize backup on woodside and facilitate cars entering into the property. I did not read very much addresses the woodside road traffic problem. Let me recount them for you. woodside road between horgan and union is a funnel. cars from the auto wash, horgan, the gas station and day school that wish to go west bound on woodside now cross two active lanes on woodside to make a uturn at union. you have these choices. put a light on horgan, make horgan a right turn only, prohibit right turn from woodside into the gas station, or break through the traffic island to allow west turns from horgan. 885 woodside further complicates the horgan-union funnel. your right turn on 885 exit does not address cars entering 885. will there be an entry gate at 885 that delays entering cars ? cars stopped by the union
