Introduce an Ordinance amending Article 60, Zoning Map No 7 (Oakwood <br />Neighborhood) of Ordinance No. 1130, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, as <br />Amended, to rezone the real property that comprises the 885 Woodside Road <br />Precise Plan Area from the existing CG-R (General Commercial-Residential <br />Combining) zoning district to P (Planned Community) District. Council shall consider <br />the Mitigated Negative Declaration and Addendum to the Mitigated Negative <br />Declaration when taking this action. (Refer to Attachment 1, the Ordinance) <br /> <br />2. Adopt a Resolution approving the revised 885 Woodside Road Precise Plan, <br />including the Mitigation Monitoring Reporting Program (MMRP), based on the <br />findings that the project demonstrates the following features: <br />1. Superior mixed use design <br />2. Incorporation of affordable housing <br />3. Incorporation of public or community facilities <br />4. Efficient and innovative use of infrastructure and nonrenewable resources <br />5. Transportation demand management (TDM) <br />Council shall consider the Mitigated Negative Declaration and Addendum to the <br />Mitigated Negative Declaration when taking this action. (Refer to Attachment 2, the <br />Resolution; Attachment 3, the Precise Plan revisions and MMRP; and "General Plan <br />and Zoning Compliance" section of this report.) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Staff has been working closely with neighborhood representatives (through emails, <br />phone calls, website postings and a meeting in early August at City Hall to review <br />revised project plans) in order to keep the neighborhood updated about the status of the <br />proposed project. The project review process has also included many public meetings <br />and hearings over the past year as summarized below: <br />. In June 2006, the Planning Commission held a Study Session and recommended <br />initiation of a project Precise Plan to the City Council. <br />. On June 27 and September 12, '2006, the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) <br />reviewed and provided input on the project architecture. <br />. In October 2006, the City Council held a public hearing and approved initiation of <br />the project Precise Plan. <br />. On November 28,2006, after a 30-day public review period, the Planning <br />
