<br />DES:djg-c 7/19/84 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9 6/1 0 <br /> <br />JUL 2 3 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND RATIFYING RETEN'I'ION OF <br />SPECIALIZED LEGAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WI'l'H CERTAIN <br />BANKRUPTCY PROCEEDINGS (R'l'D SECURITIES, INC.) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in April, 1984 this City entered into a repurchase <br /> <br />agreement with RTD Securities, Inc., a New York corporation, with <br /> <br />respect to the investment of municipal funds in U. S. Treasury <br /> <br />bills due October 4, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to entering into said transaction, RTD <br /> <br />Securi ties, Inc. commenced proceedings for a reorg-anization under <br /> <br />Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Act in the United States Bankruptcy <br /> <br />Court for the Southern District of New York (Case No. 84 B <br /> <br />l0769(ER)); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been, and is necessary to retain specialized <br /> <br />legal services for the representation of this City's interests <br /> <br />pertaining to said bankruptcy proceedings and related matters; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Moses & Singer, Attorneys, of New York City, New <br /> <br />York represent that they are qualified to perform the specialized <br /> <br />legal services aforesaid; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Moses & Singer, a law partnership including professional <br /> <br />corporations, of New York City, New York is hereby retained as <br /> <br />counsel to represent the interests of the City of Redwood City in <br /> <br />9640 <br />
