II <br /> <br />(3) Amend Section 9 to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 9. THE COUNCIL: <br /> <br />liThe Council shall be comprised of seven council <br /> <br /> <br />members, including the Mayor, and shall be the <br /> <br />legislative body of the city, each of the members of <br /> <br /> <br />which, including the Mayor, shall have the right to <br /> <br /> <br />vote upon all questions before it. <br /> <br />"Council members shall be elected at each general <br /> <br /> <br />municipal election and shall hold office for the term <br /> <br /> <br />of four years from and after the Monday next succeeding <br /> <br />the day of such election .:md .'until their oucceooorc <br /> <br />are elected and qualified.~ or, if such election shall <br /> <br /> <br />have been consolidated with a statewide election or a <br /> <br /> <br />school district election, from and after the first <br /> <br />regular meeting of the council following the canvass of <br /> <br />the returns of the election and the declaration of the <br /> <br /> <br />results by the agency or officer so empowered.
