<br />DES:djk 9/04/86 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the initiative would cost billions of dollars <br />statewide in view of its prohibitions on the accumulation of sick <br />leave and vacation leave; and <br />WHEREAS, there is no rational basis for the initiative; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />This Council hereby opposes the so-called "Public Pay <br />Limitation Initiative" (Proposition 61 on the statewide election <br />ballot for November 4, 1986) and strongly urges the electorate to <br />vote against the initiative in furtherance of the public <br />interest, good government, and equity. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />2 <br />
