<br />DAS~ <br />DAS:nt <br /> <br />12/03/87 (#20) <br />12/07/87R <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1 0 694 <br /> <br />DEe <br /> <br />7 1987 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RELIEVING APPARENT LOWEST BIDDER FROM <br />CONTRACT OBLIGATIONS FOR AREA "A" STORM DRAIN REPAIRS <br />DECLARING LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER THEREFOR AND <br />ACCEPTING BID THEREOF; AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. <br />10684 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10684 adopted November <br />16, 1987, this Council accepted the bid dated October 13, 1987 of <br /> <br />Dalton Construction Company for Area "A" storm drain repairs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent thereto the said apparent lowest bidder <br /> <br />has requested to be relieved of its obligations under the contract <br /> <br />for the said repairs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this council is willing to relieve said apparent <br /> <br />lowest bidder of said obligations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder for said repairs is <br /> <br />Power Engineering of Palo Alto, California, and it is the <br /> <br />intention and the desire of this Council to accept the bid <br /> <br />submitted by said company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Dalton Construction Company is hereby relieved of <br /> <br />performance under the contract for Area "A" storm drain repairs. <br /> <br />2. The bid of Power Engineering in the sum of One Hundred <br /> <br />One Thousand and No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($101,000.00) <br /> <br />computed in <br /> <br />accordance with bidder's proposal for Bid Item Nos. 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, <br /> <br />8, and 10 dated October 13, 1987, is hereby found and declared to <br />be the lowest bid for said work. <br /> <br />1 0 694 <br />
