<br />DES:d-jO. 07/19/89 <br /> <br />(003/26) <br /> <br />date, time and place hereby fixed for hearing by this Council on <br /> <br />any and all protests in relation to said benefit assessments and <br /> <br /> <br />said budget, at which hearing this Council shall examine said <br /> <br /> <br />report and hear all persons interested therein. <br /> <br /> <br />Any interested owner objecting to the amount of the <br /> <br /> <br />assessment on any lot or parcel of property owned by him or her <br /> <br />may file with the City Clerk at or before the hour fixed for <br /> <br /> <br />hearing a protest, in writing, signed by him or her, describing <br /> <br />the lot or parcel of property owned by him or her so that it may <br /> <br /> <br />be identified, and stating the grounds of his or her protest, and <br /> <br /> <br />said person may appear at said hearing and be heard with regard <br /> <br />thereto. <br /> <br /> <br />6. The City Clerk shall be, and is hereby, authorized and <br /> <br /> <br />directed to give notice of said hearing by causing a copy of a <br /> <br />"Notice of Hearing" to be: (i) mailed, postage prepaid, to the <br /> <br /> <br />owners of any lot or parcel of property subject to a benefit <br /> <br /> <br />assessment to pay said costs of maintenance and operation, (ii) <br /> <br /> <br />published once in the Redwood City Almanac, a newspaper of <br /> <br />general circulation in this City, and (iii) posted on or near <br /> <br /> <br />the Council chamber door or any bulletin board in or adjacent to <br /> <br />the City Hall.
