General Plan buildout

could generate new students.

2. Findings. Payment of the school facilities

impact fee is required from the potential projects in

the Amendment Area in order to assist the schools in

their effort to service the students produced by the

General Plan buildout, and will mitigate in part this

significant effect.

School chi ldren and other

pedestrians could be exposed to potential safety

hazards during construction of public improvements

and real estate development.

Safety measures to

protect the public must be incorporated into any

public improvement proposal within the Amendment

Area.

3. Rationale and Facts Supporting Findings.

a. The school facilities impact fee has

been established by schools locally pursuant

to the School Facilities Act (Govt. Code

~~65970-6598l) and this fee in part mitigates

the effect identified.

b. Current safety standards require such

precautions and the City will comply with all

safety standards.

13

11190
