CWM:djm 11/06/89 (098/#25)
CWM:djm ./29/89R

measures adopted locally could completely eliminate

the possibility of C. 0 standard violations in the

foreseeable

future.

Nevertheless,

the

outlined

mitigation measures will help to minimize the

increasing problem of emissions.

4. Mitigation Monitoring Responsibility.

Responsibility for mitigation monitoring cannot be

realistically assigned in that the City does not have

the work force to monitor the many contractors

working in the area. The Planning Commission and the

Housing and Redevelopment Director shall ensure that

mitigation

responsibility

is

included

in

each

contract.

It shall be the policy of the City to

encourage

compliance

with

these

contractural

provisions.

8. CULTURAL RESOURCES.

1. Significant Effects. Previously undetected

cultural

resources

could

be

discovered

during

excavation in the Amendment Area.

2. Findings. The following instructions will be

followed if during excavation or site preparation

any cultural resources are found:

a. Stop work immediately and contact the San

Mateo County Coroner if human remains are

discovered. The Coroner has two working days

to examine the remains after being notified

by the person responsible for the excavation.

l8

11190
