Target Set-Aside Funds. The Redevelopment <br /> <br />Agency should target "set-aside funds" to provide <br /> <br />housing for moderate, <br /> <br />low and very low income <br /> <br />households. <br /> <br />Housing funds <br /> <br />should be <br /> <br />spent in <br /> <br />proportion <br /> <br />to ABAG's <br /> <br />housing <br /> <br />need <br /> <br />figures <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />published in the Housing Needs Determination. <br /> <br />3. Negotiate With Private Developers. The Agency <br /> <br />should negotiate with private developers to maximize <br /> <br />the amount of low and moderate income housing in the <br /> <br />Redevelopment Area beyond the statutory minimums, and <br /> <br />to use its best efforts to encourage housing for <br /> <br />large households. <br /> <br />This is already the practice in <br /> <br />Redwood City.
