<br />SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST <br /> <br />/ s~_ <br /> <br />REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Knowledge of: <br /> <br />Modern multi-user computer programming techniques and operating systems; <br />knowledge of the currently used programming language (such as a Pick Basic <br />language); knowledge of accounting principles and terminology; and experience <br />with modern office procedures. <br /> <br />Abil ity to: <br /> <br />Analyze procedural problems and develop reasonable solutions; write <br />computer programs of above average difficulty; prepare clear and concise <br />reports; maintain the confidentiality of departmental information; prepare, <br />operate and monitor a computer; and develop and maintain cooperative <br />relationships with others; meet appropriate physical demands necessary to <br />perform the essential job functions of this classification. <br /> <br />EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION <br /> <br />Any combination equivalent to experience and education that could likely <br />provide the required knowledge and abilities would be qualifying. A typical <br />way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> <br />Experience: <br /> <br />Three years of experience with business-oriented application programming <br />and analysis. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted on a year <br />for year basis for the required education. <br /> <br />Education: <br /> <br />Equivalent to a Bachelor of Arts degree with recognized formal training <br />in computer programming. A major in data processing is preferred. <br /> <br />License or Certificate: <br /> <br />Possession of a valid California Driver1s License and a satisfactory <br />driving record is required.
