WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Community <br />Development have recommended amendments to the terms of the underground <br />utility district to provide for the extension of time within which to complete the <br />work of improvement described in Ordinance No. 2099 and for the establishment <br />of the use of underground conversion allocation pursuant to decision by the <br />Public Utilities Commission of the State of California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the recommendation and has <br />determined that the public interest and convenience require said amendments; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby finds and declares that the public interest and <br />convenience require certain amendments to the terms of the Public Utility District <br />No. 1995-1 as hereinafter described. <br /> <br /> 2. The date by which the undergrounding of all overhead utilities, including <br />existing service drops, and the removal of all wood utility poles, overhead wires, <br />and associated structures from all streets, roads, alleys, and ways shall occur <br />within said district by September 1, 1996. <br /> <br /> 3. The utility company which undertakes underground installation of its <br />facilities shall use the underground conversion allocation computed pursuant to <br />decision of the Public Utilities Commission of the State of California for the <br />purpose of providing to each premises in the Underground Utility District <br /> <br /> RESO-22 2 <br /> FXS:rg <br /> 02/02/96 <br /> <br /> <br />
