ORDINANCE NO. 2367 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM FOR THE MISCELLANEOUS SAFETY GROUPS The City Council of the City of Redwood City does ordain as follows: Section 1. That an amendment to the contract between the City Council of the City of Redwood City and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked Exhibit A, and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. Section 2. The Mayor of the City Council is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of the Agency

� <br /> -. io/za/zou <br /> � ORIGINAL <br /> \ RESOLUTION N0.15151 <br /> A RE30LUTION AMENDING THE EXISTING INTERNATIONAL <br /> ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS (IAFF LOCAL 2400) <br /> VANTAGECARE RETIREMENT HEALTH SAVINGS (RHSj PLAN <br /> ADMINISTERED BY ICMA RETIREMENT CORPORATION - RETIREE <br /> WELFARE BENEFITS PLAN TO INCLUDE MEMBERS OF THE CHIEF <br /> OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (COA) <br /> WHEREAS, the establishment of a retiree health savings plan for such <br /> employees serves the interests of the City of Redwood City by enabling it to provide <br /> reasonable security regarding such employees' heafth needs during retirement, by <br /> providing increased flexibility in its personnel management system, and by assisting in <br /> the attraction and retention�of competent personnel; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has detertnined that the establishment of <br /> . the retiree health savings plan (the "Plan") serves the above objectives; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RBSOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> � CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, hereby ammends the Plan in the form of the IMCA <br /> Retirement Corporation's VantageCare Retirement Health Savings program. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the assets of the Plan shall be held in trust, <br /> with the City of Redwood City serving as trustee for the exclusive benefit of Plan <br /> participants and their survivors, and the assets of the Plan shall not be diverted to any <br /> other purpose prior to the satisfaction of all liabilities of the Plan.
